Youth Connection

Curriculum Based Support Groups
Youth Group teachers Denise Angelo, Angie Rambo, and Diane Harp run after school groups in the fall and spring.  Youth and teachers meet in small groups and are taught essential life skills to help them learn how to cope with difficult family situations, resist negative peer pressure, respect others, set and achieve goals, make healthy choices, and refuse alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.

Youth Groups run twice a year for 10 sessions. Weekly programs utilize evidence based curriculum of Curriculum Based Support Group and reach out to all kids grades 4-8.  Healthy Tekoa hopes your student will learn communication and friendship skills along with vital life skills that will help them make healthy choices while overcoming adversity and trouble yet to come.
