The HEALTHY Tekoa Coalition, formed in 2012, is a volunteer group whose goal is to promote HEALTHY choices and reduce underage access to alcohol and drugs.

For children to grow up and make HEALTHY choices, the community needs to expect each child to succeed, families to make healthy choices, adults to set clear standards, and the community to provide opportunities for growth, learning, and recognition.

The Coalition is passionate about making the Tekoa community they work and live in a better place. They have four goals: delay the age of initiation of drug use, decrease perceived availability of drugs, decrease intentions to use, and increase family opportunities for pro social involvement.

If you are interested in joining the Healthy Tekoa Coalition or would like more information, please contact Diane Harp at 509-284-2781.
